Drilling at Tallebung

Company Overview

Sky Metals Limited (ASX:SKY) is focused on developing tin resources in Australia to supply growing demand for the vital technology metal.

SKY’s project portfolio offers exposure to the tin market, where a long-term growth in prices reflects challenged supply and growing demand amid new applications of the metal. Tin is an irreplaceable metal for renewable resources and all modern technology with soldering accounts for approx. 50% of the global tin consumption.

SKY owns 100% of the Tallebung Project in New South Wales and is committed to adding value through the application of modern exploration techniques at this high quality tin project. Already SKY has defined a +15Mt inferred and indicated mineral resource estimate at Tallebung. Importantly, metallurgical testwork has shown that the tin at Tallebung can be uniquely and extremely cost-effectively upgraded and concentrated using ore sorting and conventional gravity processing.

SKY’s project portfolio also offers exposure to gold, copper and other critical metals projects in the world class mining jurisdiction of NSW. SKYs gold exploration strategy is focused on the identification and efficient testing of advanced McPhillamys-type, gold targets in the Late Silurian stratigraphy of NSW. The strategy leverages the experience of SKY’s team during the discovery and delineation of the McPhillamys Gold Deposit (60.1Mt @ 1.05g/t Au for 2.03MOz; ASX RRL 8 September 2017).

SKY’s gold projects in NSW includes a Joint Venture with Develop Global Ltd (ASX:DVP) over the Cullarin (EL7954) and Kangiara (EL8400, 8573) Projects (SKY 80%) and two 100% SKY projects – Caledonian (EL8920) and Murrum (EL9120).

SKYs copper-gold exploration strategy is focused on the identification of advanced projects that can be rapidly expanded by drill testing.

SKY’s copper-gold projects in NSW include Iron Duke (EL6064, EL9191 – 100% SKY) and Galwadgere (EL6320 – 100% SKY). Shallow, open-ended copper-gold resources have been delineated at Iron Duke by previous explorers including KBL Mining (ASX KBL Mining, 4th June 2012). SKY has delineated extensions to mineralisation both down dip and along strike and prioritised both for immediate drill testing along with multiple historic mine workings which have not been previously tested with drilling.
